Cherish your solitude. Take trains by yourself to places you have never been. Sleep out alone under the stars. Learn how to drive a stick shift. Go so far away that you stop being afraid of not coming back. Say no when you don’t want to do something. Say yes if your instincts are strong, even if everyone around you disagrees. Decide whether you want to be liked or admired. Decide if fitting in is more important than finding out what you’re doing here. Believe in kissing.

I am afraid of getting older. I am afraid of getting married. Spare me from cooking three meals a day—spare me from the relentless cage of routine and rote. I want to be free… I want, I want to think, to be omniscient.

:) it was a trying semester but i’m glad i was able to get through it and not fuck it up because of some low points during that time. my grades are so much better this time around and at a place i expect them to be when i work hard enough. now i have two more weeks to spend with family and friends and try to get back into a healthy lifestyle for the summer and then off to interning and maybe trying to find a weekend job to help out my parents with traveling costs for next spring semester if this study abroad thing actually works out.
